Here at onoff.gr, we don't try to convince you that polishing is a quick process. The truth is different - and we're proud of it! When someone tells you they'll polish your screen in 30 minutes, something probably isn't right.
Why Does It Take So Long?
Let's be honest - we'd all want polishing to be done in 10 minutes. But reality is very different. Professional screen polishing is a process that... how should I put it... requires patience!
Diagnosis and Preparation (30-45 minutes)
First, we need to assess the depth of the scratches. Not all scratches are the same - some are superficial, others go deep into the glass. This diagnosis determines our entire strategy.
Device Protection & Sealing (45-60 minutes)
We carefully protect the device with special membranes and seal it around the edges with UV adhesive. The screen stays on the device - we never remove it, to keep all functions authentic. This process requires attention and time - we never rush!
Placement in Mold (20-30 minutes)
We place the device (with the fully protected screen) in a specialized mold that keeps it stable and secure during polishing. The mold ensures uniform pressure and damage prevention.
Machine Processing (60-180 minutes)
This is where the “magic” happens! The screen goes into the specialized polishing machine. Depending on the depth of the scratches, this process can take from 1 to 3 hours.
Cleaning and Reassembly (30-45 minutes)
After polishing, the screen must be perfectly cleaned and carefully reassembled. Every detail matters.
Quality Control (15-20 minutes)
Finally, we perform extensive testing to make sure everything works flawlessly. We test the touch, brightness, functions - everything!
Why 1-2 Days for Delivery?
OK, let's put it as it is. Many customers get frustrated when they hear “1-2 days”. I want to explain why this time isn't meant to keep you waiting - it's necessary!
Workload & Scheduling
Imagine this: We have a specialized polishing machine that works 8 hours a day. If each phone needs 3-4 hours on the machine, we can only process 2-3 devices per day. When we have 5-6 devices in the queue... do the math!
Sealing Time
The UV adhesive we use for sealing needs time to properly “set”. We can't rush this process - it's a matter of physics!
Unexpected Cases
Sometimes (fortunately rarely), something doesn't go as planned. A scratch is deeper than we thought, or additional processing is needed. In these cases, we prefer to do the job right rather than fast.

I don't want to hide anything from you - there are some factors that can affect delivery time:

- Apple Watch: 4-6 hours (more complex!)

In December-January we have more repairs (new phones that... got dropped!). Also, weekends usually see higher demand.

No, and it's not about money. The time required is physical - the machine can't work faster, and the UV adhesive doesn't dry faster.
What happens if you find that you can't fix it?
We call you immediately to let you know. It happens rarely, but if it does, we don't charge anything.
Can I watch the process?
Unfortunately no - our workshop has limited space and specialized equipment. But you can see photos of the process on our website!
Do you offer a warranty on polishing?
Yes! We provide a warranty because we're confident in the quality of our work. If something doesn't go well, we fix it at no charge.
